Lost Memories is a project uniting a love of illustration with a commitment to raising awareness of good mental health.

Twitter allowed me to research, find, and connect with an accident survivor who experienced eleven years of memory loss.

The graphic novel visually narrates her process of healing and recovery, illustrating a self-identity crisis and the connection between memory and mental wellbeing.

The project also reflects the sometimes-obscured presence of loved ones in a survivor’s recovery, symbolised throughout by the device of a get-well card.
